CorgiMaps supports ONX 2026-08-06
The first standalone ONX release adds order and return line lookups, sorting and more for fulfillment partners. CorgiMaps supported it in four days.

The ONX specification has published a new major release, 2026-08-06, and CorgiMaps already supports it. Brands with ONX turned on get the new release with nothing to change.
What ONX is
ONX (Order Network eXchange) is an open standard for how sellers and their fulfillment partners exchange orders, inventory, fulfillments and returns. Without it, every sales channel, 3PL and fulfillment vendor needs its own custom integration. ONX replaces those one-off connections with a common set of tools and data formats, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It's governed by the Commerce Operations Foundation, a vendor-neutral body supported by industry leaders like Manhattan Associates, commercetools, and Pipe17.
Where UCP and ACP cover a shopper's agent buying from a brand, ONX covers the partner side of the business: placing orders, checking inventory, tracking fulfillment and handling returns.
What's new in 2026-08-06
Until now, ONX lived in its reference server, last released as v0.5.1. 2026-08-06 is the first release of the specification in its own right. Every change in it is additive, so nothing that worked before breaks.
- Order line lookups. A new tool lets a partner page through the lines on an order instead of pulling the whole order at once. That matters for wholesale and retail orders that run to hundreds or thousands of lines.
- Return line lookups. Another new tool returns each line on a return, with its reason, inspection results, refund amount and restocking fee. Brands and partners can see which products come back most often, and why.
- Sorting. Lists of orders, customers, products, inventory and fulfillments can be sorted by when each record was created or last updated, so a partner can reliably pull what changed since its last sync.
- Lookups by your own IDs. Customers, products and inventory can now be filtered by external ID, as orders already could. Partners can find records using the identifiers from their own systems.
- Traceable order lines. Each order line now carries its order's ID and its own external ID, so a line can be traced back to its order and to the partner's own record.
Protocols move fast. Brands shouldn't have to.
The agentic commerce protocols are young, and they're changing quickly. Every release brings new tools, new fields and new rules, and the partners and agents on the other side adopt them on their own schedule.
CorgiMaps constantly monitors the protocols so brands don't have to, and supports each new version very quickly after it's released. ONX 2026-08-06 came out on August 6, and CorgiMaps customers had it within days. They didn't have to read the release notes or change anything in their own systems.
"Supply chain integrations have always been one-off projects. Every 3PL and every channel gets its own custom connection," said Jonathan Porter, co-founder and Head of Product & Engineering at CorgiMaps. "ONX is a real attempt at a common language for that, and now it has a proper versioned specification. Our customers get each new release within days, without changing a thing on their side."
Availability
ONX 2026-08-06 support is available now in every CorgiMaps workspace with ONX turned on. There's nothing to configure, CorgiMaps customers automatically support the latest version.
